Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership Launches "Pitch Your Plan" Youth Business Competition

In a bold move to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, The Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership is thrilled to announce the launch of the "Pitch Your Plan" youth business competition. This dynamic contest invites students from grades 7-12 to step forward with their innovative business ideas and compete for a chance to turn their dreams into reality.

Beginning today, young visionaries are encouraged to submit their groundbreaking business proposals. The competition provides a unique platform for students to showcase their creativity, ingenuity, and strategic thinking. The deadline for submissions is July 5th, 2024, at 8:00 PM.

Participants will have the extraordinary opportunity to:

  • Develop and pitch their business ideas.

  • Receive invaluable mentorship from seasoned business professionals.

  • Win a Chromebook to help kick-start their entrepreneurial journeys.

The contest is open to all students in grades 7-12. To ensure proper guidance and support, a guardian must co-sign the application if the participant is under 18.

To qualify for this contest, applicants need to:

  • Be a Middlesex County resident (Not the City of London)

  • Have an idea for a business that you will launch before the end of 2024.

  • Have entrepreneurial spirit

  • Complete and submit the following items to @email

    • A business plan package + contest entry form

    • A video (no longer than 2-minutes) via WeTransfer

This competition is not just about winning; it's about empowering young minds, fostering innovation, and building the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
