The Ontario Manufacturing Communities Alliance (OMCA) is a partnership of economic and business development organizations, committed to bringing new businesses to Ontario’s manufacturing sector. As part of Middlesex County’s mandate to support and grow its diverse Manufacturing sector the Economic Development Department is pleased to be joining OMCA for the upcoming FABTECH 2023 conference in Chicago, Illinois.

FABTECH is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event which will be taking place at McCormick Place, September 11-14, 2023. This show will be featuring 1,500+ word-class suppliers specializing in the industry and looking to do business.

Excellent opportunities for economic growth exist in the province of Ontario within the manufacturing sector. OMCA works across its membership geography to research locations that offer businesses the most strategic fit. With an extensive transportation network of international airports, highways, rail lines, and marine borders, there are many opportunities to invest in Ontario and discuss opportunities further with the OMCA team.

Various business networking opportunities exist with the companies which will be at the show including scheduled meetings for potential expansion plans and collaboration possibilities with existing establishments in the Province. A few of the top reasons to invest in OMCA communities include a number of incentives that provide cost savings, a skilled workforce, market access, and a stable operating environment.

Middlesex County Economic Development has been a proud member of OMCA since 2022 and will continue to partner on a number of future planned shows across the United States and Europe.
