New Dorchester Bridge Opens Today

It might look like your standard bridge over placid water.

But to the community of Dorchester, this brand new span -- which cost about $6 million and is finally open for traffic -- is a short causeway to future cash.

"It's critical for the municipality because we're trying to advance economic development, both north and south of the river," said Thames Centre Mayor Jim Maudsley.
